Tour de Rock Mountain Bike Ride & Rough Ride 4000
Join us on October 2, 2010 for a
fall mountain bike ride at 49° North Mountain Resort.  The mountain ride begins at 11:00am.  Looking for more of a challenge?  Try the Rough Ride option at 10:00am.  Start in the town of Chewelah and ride the pavement 10.2 miles to the ski area.  From there, ride the trails to the summit.  4,000 feet of elevation is gained on a variety of surfaces.  Entry fees are $20 without t-shirt, or $30.00 with t-shirt.  Proceeds benefit the 49° North Ski Patrol.  Contact Doug at 509-937-4922 or doug@shirewood.com for more information

Bernie Jacob’s Benefit Big Success in Springdale, WA.  ~ It was a wonderful time with neighbors & friends coming from all around the area to help one of their own, businessman “Bernie Jacobs”. There was a BBQ with lots of traditional picnic foods to feed the hungriest of those that came. And great toe tapping music from Loose Gravel (thanks guys your awesome). The silent Auction raised around $3,500.00 when all was said & done. Event photos coming soon and will be on Facebook!

Northport Labor Days Party:  Sept 4 to 6 Northport, Washington Chamber of Commerce

The town of Northport , WA   will be abuzz with excitement Labor Day weekend. On Saturday the 4th of September we start the day off with a Pancake breakfast provided by our local Volunteer Fire Dept. Following the breakfast, we will have our Let-um- Fly Horseshoe Tournament. We have 3 divisions: 1. Men, 2. Women, and 3. Jack and Jill. To sign up or for more information call 675-4466. At Noon the Kids will race their Rally-Cars down the hill at the corner of 4th and Summit ; this is always a crowd favorite. There will be food and drink provided all day by the Lion's Club.  On Sunday the 5th there will be wild times at the Northport international Dirt Race Track gates open at 11:00am and racing at Noon.  The weekend wraps up Monday the 6th at 10:30 am with our Labor Day Parade, followed with the Lion's Club beef BBQ at the park. There will be food, drink, and games for the kids. A beer Garden will be set up along with a chance to win a full Log Truck load of Firewood (donated by Forest Capitol Partners, LLC.)

Henneman owns and operates the Lazy Lightning H Ranch near Rice with her husband, Chad, where they raise meat chickens, eggs, pork and grass-fed beef.
