Regular Meeting Minutes

April 2006

 

 

Members in Attendance: Linda Ritts, Sandie Bowers, Sonny Clemmer, Ruth Vetsch, Lela Taylor, Sharron Staley, Pat Barden. Guest were Joe Goad of Joe’s Photography and Louise Robeson of Pre-Paid Legal Services & Identity Theft in Spokane, WA

 

Pat Barden made a motion to accept the March E-mailed minutes as written. Sharron Staley 2nd the motion. Motion passed by members present.

 

The secretary gave treasures report due to the fact that Kathy Moss has moved out of state. Linda reported that checking is $1708.10 and savings is $502.14.

Sonny Clemmer made a motion to accept the treasures report given by the secretary. Sharron Staley 2nd the motion. Motion passed by members present.

 

Old Business:

Murder & Mayhem: Posters will be ready for pick up on April 13 and Lela will pick them up and start putting them out for advertising.

Lela and Linda are working on the event and will have every thing in place for the April 28th and 29th event. Everyone is encouraged to come and play. Packets will sale for $3 each. No age limit. The event will take place for two days and the finale will be held at the grange at 4 pm and prizes will be awarded.

It was also decided by members present that we would decide after this event if we would hold another one, it will depend on the attendance this year.

 

New Business:

Pat Barden made a motion to nominate Sandie Bowers as new treasurer. Linda Ritts 2nd the motion. Motion passed by members present.

 

Joe Goad attended the meeting as asked if he could sell ads in his column. It was decided by consensus that he would have to seek donations for his prizes that selling ad space could hinder selling ad space that keeps the newsletter self-supporting.

He conceded and said he would ask for donations for his contests he will be running in his columns.

 

Reports were given by the businesses and organizations present.

Lela Taylor, President made the announcements.

The meeting was then turned over to Louise Roberson to talk about Identity theft.

 

The meeting was adjourned.
