Regular Meeting Minutes

August 5, 2004

Present

Linda Ritts, Lela Taylor, Bonnie Corbin, Pat Barden,

Dick Conley, Sandie Bowers, Jan Buche, Jim Sullivan,

and Guest Speaker Sue Lani Madsen

Minutes were emailed and read at the meeting. Sandie

Bowers made the motion to accept the minutes as read.

Dick Conley of Mary Walker School seconded the motion.

Motion passed by members present.

Treasurer’s report: Sandie Bowers reported that checking stands at $2,044.23

OLD BUSINESS:

Dick Conley will talk to Matt Gines and remind him about the sign he is doing for the Chamber. He will also let him know the date of the September meeting so he can attend. Sandie Bowers will get the information for the 501 to Wendall Scammon so the paper work can be finished and sent in.

BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE:

Pow Wow Tavern will be joining the Chamber.

NEW BUSINESS:

Lela will be bringing info on a Fiddle Contest as one of the events next year.

REPORTS:

Mary Walker School year 2004-2005 will begin August 26th. Open House Picnic will be September 15th

beginning at 4:30 pm.

Grange will be holding Exercise Classes on Monday-Wednesday-Friday at 1pm

Sandie Bowers will send a bill to Frontier Days for their share of the “Trips on a Tankful”.

And Annual Springdale Motorcycle Rodeo will be August 21 & 22.

Frontier Days was another huge success. The only drawback was someone broke into the beer garden and the cook shack. Stolen was beer, wine, hamburger, pop. That set the Assoc. back about $800.00.

Announcements were made and the floor was opened to Sue Lani Madsen our guest speaker.

**Note**

Fran Bessermin will be the guest speaker at the September Chamber meeting.
